Reading at Gagle Brook

Reading is at the core of our learning at Gagle Brook and we believe that the teaching of Early Reading is key to every child's success. We teach Phonics and Early Reading through the Read Write Inc program from Early Years through Key Stage 1 and reading comprehension from Year 1. This is combined with a fostering of Reading for Pleasure and time being dedicated to children listening to stories being read to them alongside engaging activities and reading areas within the school.
